This is a private membership campground and we stayed as associated members through a sister club. Canyon Creek has its good and bad points, but for me, the bad outweighs the good. The good points are, it’s close to Lake Berryessa, sites are level, large, clean, and well-groomed. They do have a lot of things for the whole family to do. It has 2 well-maintained pools, hot tub/spa, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, a rec center with pool table, camp store and café. They have a good amount of security, 2 dump stations with honey wagon service available to members for free. Associate members pay a small fee $15 to use this service. Now for the bad points. They are right next to Hwy 128 and there is a tremendous amount of road noise 24/7. The Wi-Fi service is a pay service which I don’t mind, BUT the owners have blocked access to any and every website that has any form of streaming video on it. I get my mail through Comcast and had no access to it over the weekend. Now some may say no big deal, but they do not inform you of this before you pay for internet access and then refuse to give you any kind of refund. Also, the access you pay for is limited to one device. If you wanted to use 2 devices, you need a separate subscription for that second device. The code locks to the device you use it on first. The bathrooms I saw were horrible to say the least and were NOT ADA compliant as they claim they are. The restroom in area B was filthy.

| Hot Campground with a Dirty Pool | |
We camped here last summer and it was as hot as an oven, even with the A/C on. Thank goodness there was a lot of shade here. Bathrooms were clean and were scattered all over the campground, which was a good thing. Wished they did the same for their dump stations. Our site only had electric and water hookups. The dump station was a ways off. Tried to take a dip in the pool but it wasn't well maintained.
