Local Directions: Watch Hill Terminal Site is located at 150 West Avenue in Patchogue, New York, 11772. By Car: From the Long Island Expressway (LIE or I-495), take Exit 61 S onto County Road 19 (Patchogue-Holbrook Road). From Sunrise Highway (Route 27), take Exit 52 South onto County Road 19 (Patchogue-Holbrook Road/Waverly Avenue). About 1 mile from Rt. 27, bear left. Cross Main Street, go over the railroad tracks, and cross Division Street. Pass the bowling alley. Ferry terminal parking lot is on your right. By Train: Take the LIRR to Patchogue Station.

Description
Backcountry Camping

Two backcountry camping zones are available, the eastern and western zones. There is a three-night limit for backcountry camping.
Eastern Zone: Maximum number of campers is 12 per night with a maximum number of four campers allowed in each site. Access to the Eastern Zone is on foot from Watch Hill, a 4 to 5.5 mile walk.
Western Zone: Maximum number of campers is 24 per night with a maximum number of eight campers allowed in each site. Access to the Western Zone is on foot from Watch Hill, a one to three mile walk.

No pets permitted March 15 through Labor Day on the beach or in the wilderness.
