Small, inner-city, travel lodge-style park. About 80% filled with long-term travel trailers. Some needed to be buried about a decade ago. Overall though, this is a pretty cool 60s style park, and location is awesome to downtown Austin. There is a beautiful city park within a short bike ride and numerous eclectic restaurants within walking distance. Not a great park for big rigs as sites are tight and no 50 amp.

From what I gather during my short stay here, Pecan Grove is mostly for long-term RVers. Their sites are certainly bigger, had nicer lawns and have ample space in between. There are nice pull-thru sites for short-term guests like me, though, and the facilities are nice enough. The grounds and bathrooms are well-maintained, as well as the laundry room. The neighbors were friendly, though we didn't get to see the campground host much. Tough to reserve a space here, but it's certainly worth it because the location puts it close to everything worth visiting in Austin.

| Pecan Grove great Austin location! | |
A really good thing about this place is the location. If you want to see what Austin is all about this place has the perfect surroundings to experience Austin. It is very close to some awesome restaurants, and next to the popular swimming pool Barton Springs the must see park when visiting. Downtown is only minutes away but so is the calm of the river and a nice hike and bike trail. | | Comments (0) |
