Nestled on the Side of a Pocono Mountain
LewisEdge
Gold
October 12, 2014
Built on the side of a mountain in the Pennsylvania Poconos, this campground leaves little to be desired. Campsites here have modern hook-ups, are on multiple levels but have been nicely-leveled throughout. One thoughtful feature at almost every campsite is a light mounted on the hook-up post. That's a tremendous help for RV owners who arrive after dark.

As members of a Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) chapter, called the Jersey Gems, we joined a group of 20 other coaches for their October rally here.

The campground's outdoor swimming was closed for the season, but, unlike most campgrounds, this one has an attractive, heated, indoor pool that could still be enjoyed even though the October nights were at near freezing temperatures.

Campground owners and staff here did their best to ensure that we felt welcomed. Their large indoor pavilion accommodated our group meetings comfortably. The campground also has a well-equipped playground, attractive snack bar, store and spacious sites with picnic tables and fire rings.

The cable TV had a decent selection of channels. Wi-Fi is included in the nightly charge and is reasonably fast, but has an annoying log-in procedure that can be a hassle. Guests are reminded not to be bandwidth hogs or their Wi-Fi speed will be restricted.

All things considered, this campground offers ample amenities at a competitive price in a desirable setting. We had a positive experience here.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
