I would highly recommend Northern Exposure, Chetek, Wisconsin if you want your up-north fishing experience to be fantastic. We are a newly-retired couple who have been chasing fish all over Minnesota and Wisconsin, in the Boundary Waters, on big lakes, small lakes, and this is the best spot of them all. We’re never going anywhere else. I’m the wife of a fisherman who can’t wait to go back as soon as we get home. Other fishermen go after the big blue gills and haul them in, too. My husband claims the fish-cleaning house is by far the best we’ve run into. The grounds are well kept, the campers friendly, and the half-dozen or so cabins are new and modern. It is always quiet and peaceful, too. Not your typical run-down place that caters just to the men. They are just wonderful accommodations, with nice decorating touches. We enjoy eating at Gilligan’s, accessible by boat or car. There’s a great bar in town with pizza, too. | | Comments (0) |
