Not what you expect from a KOA. Sites are very small, many seasonals sites, some in very poor condition. Campground roads are in very poor condition. Many sites are very unlevel with a very haphazard layout for many sites.

| Not fancy but very convenient | Trisha Bronze February 19, 2013 |
We have stayed here twice and been very satisfied. The staff is helpful and nice. My grandkids loved the bouncy park and the banana bikes. Good laundry facilities. Love the fact that it is right next door to the Publix and very close to the entrance to I77. We did not have any problem with safety issues, as others have posted. Will stay here again.

The check-in office is a gas station on a busy, noisy road. For reasons unknown, we were assigned a gravel site that was so out-of-level that our hydraulic leveling jacks could not fully compensate. Meanwhile nearby level, paved sites remained unoccupied. The sewer connection was hidden an inch underground and covered with dirt and leaves. We were not able to find it until one of their maintenance personnel dug it up as we were about to depart. Although we paid for full hook-ups, we ultimately used their dump station to empty our waste tanks. For travelers on I-85 this campground is 32 miles round-trip out-of-the way but is near I-77. They have a pool (closed for the winter), playground, outdoor pavilion, fenced dog exercise area and cabins for rent. Their sites are closely spaced and the whole place looked somewhat run-down. For what we paid, we expected better.

| Very Disappointed | dall55 Silver February 25, 2012 |
Very disappointed in the cabins at this campground. We booked the deluxe loft cabin because it had heat and a bathroom. The cost was $99.00 per night. When we checked in we were surprised to see the office is actually a gas station and their private lounge is a bar where it states on the door NO COLORS, NO PATCHES, NO BAD BEHAVIOR. The cabin had not been cleaned, dirt on the floor and food on the counters. The water smelled like rotten eggs. Could not and would not stay in this cabin. Moved to a smaller cabin and it was better after I cleaned it. The light which we left on in the first cabin stayed on during our three day stay which shows how much they check. The bathrooms were not cleaned on Saturday. I do not think that I will return to this campground. | | Comments (0) |

This campground continues to be improved upon with every visit we make here. The facilities are nice and well maintained, with level, roomy sites. During normal times, they keep campers spaced out, but you should make sure there isn't a major NASCAR race going on when you are visiting. Most of their sites revert to back-in sites and it will be cramped. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, the pizza from the office is good, and you can fill up your tank right at the office. There is a great playground, jumping pillow, and during Halloween, a haunted trail and house that you can do for a discount.
