Best place to stay near Conroe
March 3, 2018
We come to this area every year for medical issues. Sometimes we stay a month, sometimes three months. This is a nice place to stay and far better than the others. The staff is friendly and helpful and the park is consistently kept up. We use our own bathroom, but I know the laundry room on the hill is nice and can accommodate a number of campers at the same time. There's a nice covered pool area. The ponds are catch and release. We like seeing the bird life and the turtles. This is the best place to stay for great long term camping. The only downside is you can't have mail sent to you at the campground. Either have it sent to a friend in the area, or use general delivery.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

This is a very nice KOA. We stayed in a 5th wheel but the cabins here look much larger than in other KOA's. The pull through spots were all concrete and level. The two laundry rooms were spacious, clean and all washers and dryers appeared to be functional. Pool and kids area was excellent. I would have rated this KOA 5 stars except the staff here were not friendly or helpful. Although not busy check in, they only provided us with the bare minimum of information. The office doesn't open until 9 so any questions had to wait in the morning. We needed the code to unlock the laundry room since it wasn't provided at check-in. We had to wait until 9.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Feel the amenities are deceptive
January 29, 2014
First off we did not stay, secondly had we read the reviews prior to making the reservation we would not have made the reservation.

On the KOA website this park offers WIFI in the campground. We tend to like KOA's and have stayed is a several in our short RVing history. I was going to be in the area on business and after looking at their website I made reservations for almost a week stay. A lesson learned for me I then read some reviews and found out they do not have WIFI in the campground (it is only available in/by the office).
I called to verify this and it was then confirmed and I had to cancel my reservation. Two things upset me, first they said they had an amenity they in reality did not, secondly when i did cancel they charged me a fee for canceling. Lesson learned

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
