Local Directions: From Highway 50 (Big Rig-Friendly Option): Shingle Springs lies between Cameron Park and Placerville. Take Ponderosa Road (Exit 37), head North, right turn on North Shingle Rd, North Shingle Rd turns into Lotus Rd, left on Highway 49. Cross bridge, 1st driveway on right. From Interstate 80 (approximately 18 miles): Highway 49 to Exit 119-B, South on Highway 49. Ponderosa is on the left just before Coloma. The resort entrance requires a wide turn into the parking lot.

Can get packed in during summer but nice, clean camp. Stayed several times. Clean bathrooms & great to play in river that is close by. Amazing views of river, great for rafting but can be very fast water and cold.
