Middle of the road park. Could be top of the line

We stayed there a couple weeks. It has all the potential of being a first-class park, but the bathrooms were vandalized, staff not real friendly, lot of areas run down. I do think they are trying to upgrade it, but need to do it soon. We are part of the Thousand Trails Membership and this is the closest park to LA. We plan on returning due to necessity, but hope they will get the upgrades complete.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

At the entrance is a brand new not yet open greeting center. They are doing renovations at the adult rec hall. Yet at the same time the rest of the place is falling apart and neglected. If I were to guess I'd say they intend to split the property and have vacationers have the new stuff and the full-timers with all their sheds and run down campers in another area. Their hot tub was nice and big. Some weird guy came along and tried to scare us saying it was all brown earlier that day. I also don't know why management allows a nutjob fundie to conduct bible meetings in the rec room and proselytize. Creepy. There isn't really anything nearby this place. It's odd.

We stayed here in a Class B Motorhome.

We are members of this campground through Thousand Trails. It’s our HOME park. We used to love to go to Soledad Canyon as a quick getaway over a 4 day weekend that’s only 90 minutes from home.

Now there are so many long-term campers that it looks like a junky trailer park. These long-termers pile stuff upon stuff in their campsites. They have so much stuff that it bleeds over into the campsites next to them.

There are limited 50 amp sites in section B, but you will find 30 amp tent-camper pop-ups in 50 amp sites, cars belonging to RVs parking in the sites next to them so as to keep people from camping next to them. And management could care less.

One long-term resident has her site fenced off and has at least a dozen dogs of which one or two are always barking at any given time. Nothing is done about it.

The only reason we would return is that we pay for this place in yearly dues and we will not let them run us out. We'll just keep complaining until something is done.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Lots of my friends have told me not to come here because the campground was terrible and unkept. Still went and I'm glad that we did. There are a lot of areas in the campground that needs a bit of an upgrade, but pretty much it was okay. We were lucky to get a good site at the N section with reliable electricity that was really flat and level. Good satellite TV and cellphone reception. Lots of shade. No problems with the WiFi access. There were quite a few bugs, but that's all part of the camping experience, I guess. Their lodge is great! Lots of amenities for the adults and kids. Would definitely come back.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
