Nice but lots of dense natural growth

Okay...first, this is a very nice, clean park with a spectacular beach and with seconds of St. Augustine. But I wish I had known that the sites, while very private, are surrounded with very dense natural growth which makes great habitat for reptiles and plenty of bugs. If you like the feeling of being in the jungle...you will love it. If you like sitting out in the evening without the constant whine of skeeters...this may not be your cup of tea.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in this park for one night, and had a great time. The tent site was very private, with tons of shade. The beach was a short walk, and was absolutely gorgeous. Showers were hot and clean, and the staff was helpful - we arrived after the park closed and check in was a simple phone call. Overall, it's a great park, and we will definitely return!

We stayed here in a Tent.

We just visited Anastasia for the first time this Spring Brk. We were leary to stay a week since they only have water and electric hookups only(no sewer). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The park has a paved road w/ gravel/hard sand sites & are very wooded. Some sites appear tight but are deceiving as we were able to fit our 30' into a 20' site w/ no prob. The beach is very close and has a great grill, store, & snack bar. There are lots of covered picnic tables, 2 pavillons, and even a water inlet for water sports. The dunes and views are awesome. The beach is big and there is lots to do from the lighthouse, gator farm, biking, etc.
