| Excellent Family Campground | |
Very well cared for! Nicest campground bathhouses we have seen in many years of camping. Campground is on the beautiful, immense Kentucky Horse Park. Less than 20 minutes to downtown Lexington, Keeneland Race Track, distillery district, and restaurants. Park has many activities for the youthful and energetic. There was a scout jamboree in the nearby primitive camping area, but the park is so large and well-run that there was little or no impact in other parts of the campground. A definite 5 star campground.

The park is wonderfully maintained, Sites are close together, but it is still very nice. The best feature of this park is it's proximity to the actual Horse Park. If you have any inclination towards horses this is the place to be. Our granddaughter loved being up close to them, as well as the trail ride she took.

| Nice Campground - Fun State Park to Visit | |
Nice campground, clean and well managed. We had a large, paved, back-in site in the outer ring, #144. It was an electric and water site (they don't have FHU). Sites are nicely spaced.
Staff was very friendly. WiFi was variable, sometimes good, sometimes not. Nice camp store, clean bathhouses.
Enjoyed the Hall of Champions and Horses of the World at the horse park. Well worth visiting.
I would stay here again.

| Great park - beautiful setting. | |
This is a very nice park with large sites and concrete pads. Sites are nicely spaced. Nice pool and playground for kids. Staff was very friendly. Only downside is there are no sites with sewer. Would definitely stay here again.
