We got here early in the afternoon. The ranger told me there was one site that my camper would fit in and to go look at it and see if I could get in it then come back. I went and after much consternation and two large trees across the street I was able to get our 32' fifth wheel in the site. There was no TV signal and only 1 radio station but there was water electric and sewer. There was a Chief Joseph festival going on in town so there a lot more campers than usual. We rode the Tramway to the top of the mountain and the view was awesome. The lake there was glacier created. We were close to the stream coming down the mountainside which was the only noise at night. The bathhouse was very nice.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Wallowa Lake was our very first camping experience in Oregon after moving here from Arizona, and now it is our benchmark. What an unbelievable place! Driving through farmlands to sudden majestic peaks emerging from nowhere. “Little Switzerland” it is. While my husband prefers smaller, more primitive campgrounds, this one has everything I require. Great facilities and a beautifully maintained campground. With tent loops and RV loops, there is something for everyone. And while you certainly will not have the place to yourself, you will not lack for things to do or see, either right at the campground or in nearby Joseph. Also, such a cool place to be open year-round!

We stayed here in a Tent.

Strict about vehicle size....ours worked. Could use a bark park but it is in a beautiful part of the world....no cell phone service if that is important to you. Highly recommend for ambiance of area.....

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
