Local Directions: From I-385: Take exit #40 onto N. Pleasantburg Rd (Hwy 291) for approximately 4 miles. Take a right on Piney Mountain Rd. Go to the 1st light and turn right. Park is 2 miles ahead on the left; From Asheville: Take Hwy 25 towards Greenville. Turn left onto State Park Rd in Travelers Rest. Drive 8 miles (road will change names to East Mountain Creek). Take a right onto State Park Rd., entrance .8 miles on left.

Trailside Campsites

There are 5 trailside, hike-in sites around the North Lake Trail Loop. Each site can accommodate up to 2 small tents and 5 campers. Contact the park directly for reservations.

Mountain Biking is not allowed in the park and on trails on Saturdays.
