This was the best park I have ever been to. The ranger has lived on the island for 9+ years and knows the island like the back of his hand. He took the time to teach our kids about foraging, history of the island, and has the boat house stocked with gloomy weather activities. I was skeptical about going here as you are stuck on the island if bad weather comes and with young children I thought this might be a challenge, however it was the camping trip of our dreams. Many people go to the island for the day, but staying for several is the way to go. Make sure you have good hiking gear, pack light, and invest in backpacking backpacks as there are no wheeled vehicles on the island (other than the rangers truck).
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (0) |
