I know that most people who have a RV or travel trailer do most of there cooking outside if they can. My wife and I love being outside first thing in the morning making breakfast and having our first cup of coffee. Well the end of last season we went and bought a Griddle with two burners and boy does it make cooking breakfast in the morning easy! With the two burners you can keep one side hot and the other side as a warmer. I even keep our coffee warm in the upper corner and hold things like the home fries, bacon while cooking our eggs or pancakes.
I have even gone out and bought a 1 gallon propane tank and a six foot hose to for it. The one pound propane bottles are okay but only last for a few hours of cooking time. And I had my 1 gallon bottle filled for as little as $3.00. If you go out and buy a 1 Pound bottle it might cost you up to $4.99 My 1 gallon will last me most of the season. And I plan on using it a lot. We have a seasonal site that is pretty close to home and we get to it as much as we can during the season. We also have a portable gas grill for when you just want that real grilled taste on your food and the grill marks as well. I use to be a Chef for a living and still love to cook. But camping to me I try to keep it simple at times. And yes I still get a kick out of putting a hot dog on a stick and holding it over the fire! |
