Can I use heavy duty screws into the side of a cabinet without messing things up?
I want to mount a small flat screen TV in my travel trailer using a regular extendable TV mount. Can I use heavy duty screws into the side of a cabinet without messing things up?
Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can. Just make sure that before you do, add a bit of extra support for the cabinet wall on the inside. When I intalled our flat screen tv, I used a piece of 3x3 hard wood to support my cabinet wall before I installed our extendable bracket using some heavy duty screws.

Don't see why that should be a problem. Just like what josh mentioned, just make sure to add a bit of support on the cabinet wall so that it would be able to handle the weight of the bracket and the TV that you're going to install.
