Re: parking a TT in your backyard!!!
I would think it would depend on the location, some areas have HOA's that restrict what you can do on your property, such as parking campers/RV's, boats, extra cars, etc.
Where I live there are no HOA's, thankfully, I park my RV in my driveway. If there are no HOA's, you shouldn't need any kind of "permit".
In the event that there is an HOA, you could talk to the president of the HOA to see if you might be granted some sort of special permit.

Re: parking a TT in your backyard!!!
You'll need to work with your county / city ordinances for clearance / permits for an occupied travel trailer in your back yard. Assuming you can get permission, the next thing is to hook the trailer up to your house water, electric and sewer system all of which the county / city will want to inspect and approve.

If on the other hand, you're way out in the country where city ordinances and county inspectors rarely go, just hook up power, water and sewer and go for it.
