No Slide Toppers?
I'm just curious...why do most travel trailers don't have a slide topper?

Hmmm...cost perhaps?

Re: No Slide Toppers?
They are available, but more as an add-on rather than a regular feature to help keep the costs down.

I agree. Cost is the number one reason why they are not available.

Re: No Slide Toppers?
We bought our trailer used and it came with one. The sales person said that they were a $600.00 add on if we had to buy one. And it was a good thing to have.
I have seen some campers with out them on real windy and rainy days leak like crazy even with new seals! They help keep stuff like pine needles and twigs out.
I think if my trailer did not come with that I would have bought one anyway. I have seen them in a few places on-line for around $500.00 and they look easy enough to put on yourself if are the handy type?
