As a RVer, I really love my life on road. There is one thing I always think of is what would be my next destination. One of my favorite camping spot is Hunting Island State Park Campground. This campground is South Carolina's little slice of paradise and a hidden gem. Located directly on the beach of this little barrier island that is home exclusively to the state park. If it weren't for the lack of aqua colored water you would think you were somewhere in the Caribbean with the palm trees lining the beach. Most of the sites are roomy gravel with wooden picnic table and fire ring. A few are tight for RV's but are rented primarily to tenters. An on site Chaplin provides cornhole boards and ladder golf along with Sunday church services. The campground store is well stocked with groceries, gifts, camping supplies and souvenirs. Park rangers regularly patrol the grounds and beach for safety and are helpful and informative. The several campground hosts are friendly and a wealth of information as well. What has been your favorite? It feels good to be lost in the right direction!
