Re: RVing in Europe
I went to Spain in Andalusia in 1998 and Portugal. Its really beautiful, they have a really nice backcountry. You are free to drive and park pretty much anywhere which is awesome. just get out there and get lost. It felt like an adventure.

have fun

Re: RVing in Europe
Hello:

I just joined the Camping Road trip forum, but I am very familiar with camping in Europe. My favorite spot is on Lago di Garda http://www.arcoturistica.com on the North side of the lake. This is a city campground where they do not take reservations. You just show up early in the morning and wait till some one leaves. The office opens at 8. That part of the lake is known for its windsurfing so Europeans from all over flock there. You can also rent boards. On Saturday nights they have fireworks over the water and the best pizza in the region.
I camp nowadays here in the States, mainly the Western part. When you travel around there is most of the time a camping spot. If you want to go camping with a tent I would advise you to go to I Comedianti, about 2 hours south of Florence , close to Cortona. The website is in Dutch, but they speak English too.
