What's the best campground near Austin?
We always hear great things about central Texas. I believe they call it the Hill/Heel Country.

What's the best place around thataways to go camping?

Thanks.

Bobby Joe,

Royal Palms is the highest rated on our site, so you can take that for what it's worth. But, once you've stayed, feel free to review all the parks you stay at!

Also, before you set out, check out our article on the Hill Country (http://www.campingroadtrip.com/tips-and-articles/rv-tour-texas-hill-country).

Happy camping,
Alex

Consider Alamo River just south of San Antonio, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, birding, close to everything in SA

Camping Road Trip dotcom does not have the correct information on us and I have not been able to correct their site.

Best in San Antonio if you are looking for "City Close and Country Quiet"

Welcome to the CampingRoadTrip.com forums!

There is a place in the main menu bar on the top of the screen dedicated for campground owners. You can use that to request for changes in the information provided here.
