| I guess cold depends on where you are from! For me it was a little chilly. There can be some frost, depending on the weather patterns. That being said it is well worth a visit. There are tons of great campgrounds near the badlands, and doing a search around Rapid City, SD should find you a whole load. I would check that they are open as some (not all) campgrounds will shut up at the end of September or mid October. Some are year round. I'd use the search on this website to find out the details. I've found it is pretty accurate. Have fun and look out for the prairie dogs. |
