| Cleanest vault toilets in the world! | Stopped here to tent on our way to CO and were amazed by the condition of the restrooms! Paved roads throughout, gravel sites, most with additional room for tent and whatever nearby. Picnic table and fire ring also. Water spigots spaced throughout and a dumpster near the entrance. Loop B would be more appropriate for medium to larger rigs. Tents can fit in just about anywhere.
We stayed here in a Tent.

| Good close to town escape | Have stayed here multiple times and will continue to return. Only 45 min from my place in Phoenix, yet feels like you are well out of town. They completed full hookups a few years ago and now have a dump as well. Good, clean restrooms/shower combinations. Plenty of space between sites. Not much shade. Grandkids came out for a visit and we took them to the playgrounds also maintained by the park. Wonderful hiking trails and a competitive MTB course in the park. County library right at the entrance sometimes also has a hot dog vendor in the parking lot. Will return again and again.
We stayed here in a Class B Motorhome.

| Right across the street from the best milk shakes! | Dry camping in the tall pines is always welcome, especially in the summer. Campground is way cooler than anything on either the Arizona or Utah side of the elevation. Good, paved roads, variety of sites suitable for any size recreation vehicle or tent. They closed a loop that went deeper into the forest quite a few years ago. Not sure why but he remaining ones are just fine. Attentive camp hosts. Clean but not sparkling vault toilets. Water spigots and dumpster available. Jacob Lake store across the street for the tastiest milk shake you've ever had and lots of Indian Rugs to look at or even purchase! Small selection of groceries and a decent restaurant as well.

Variety of sites, some shaded, some open, pull throughs, etc. Sunset area is a bit rougher to travel on and further away from the visitor center. We stayed in the Canyon section. Vault toilets, grey water station, water spigots, multiple trash containers. Patrolled regularly by monument staff. Ranger led hikes to Keet Seel each morning (tough hike!); Rim trail which overlooks Betatakin ruins (easy walk). Visitor Center often has local, native artists displaying and demonstrating their wares. Nearly 10 degrees cooler than the highway below.

| High country remote camping at its best | Stayed on one of the sites with a tent pad. Very spacious, shaded, with large picnic table, fire container. Very clean vault toilets, dumpster, water spigot nearby. Friendly camp host who we only noticed when leaving, but he made a point of asking about our stay. Somewhat confusing way to determine if a site was available or not, but a neighbor camper helped us out.
