The park is just far enough off the interstate to not be too loud. The shower facilities are nice and not quarter operated. There's a playground for the kiddies and the brick oven grills in the covered shelter nearby are great! Also, for those who enjoy geocaching, there are several caches nearby.

Beautifully quiet campground in central Nebraska. No cement pads, but the shower house is nice and not a quarter machine type. No, swimming area, but a nice playground is available for the kiddies. No wood for sale, but the very nice curator there lent us a saw and directed us to their huge wood pile. He also pulled us out of the mud when we got rained out.

We enjoyed the shady sites and well maintained campground very nuch. The swimming beach isabit far to just walk to, so probably not ideal for the motorhome owner who lovesto swim.

This park has amazingly beautiful views of the river below. Horseback riding. Quiet and peaceful. If only we lived closer.

The lake is very large, good for boating. There was a small playground by the cabin we stayed at. Since we stayed in a friend's cabin, I can't say anything about the rental areas, but the lake is beautiful.

This is one of our family's favorite Autumn camping spots. There's no nearby swimming, so I wouldn't try taking my kids down mid-summer, but in the fall when the leaves are changing and weather is cooler they have wonderful trails to explore and you can purchase handmade goods like soap, candles, brooms, etc.

I like this park for events, but I wouldn't want to camp here otherwise. They have lots of activities, a pool, cabins, horseback riding, an event center, and lots more... for this reason they are VERY popular which is why I choose to camp at other close-by venues. When I'm camping I generally like a little more calm.

This state park has multiple campgrounds. The campgrounds are a bit far from the swimming area for walking though, so probably not the best for Motorhome owners who love to swim. The grounds are well maintained and the views are nice. There are nature trails for hikers, and boating is allowed.

| A nice short term campground | This campground is nice, but I wouldn't want to stay long. It has a playground for the kids, and plenty of shade, but that's about the extent of it. The city pool is within a mile and a nice walk. Avoid camping here the first weekend of August unless you are staying for the Annual Czech Days Celebration, and then you'd better make reservations well in advance and not plan on getting a lot of sleep.

If you like quiet camping this is a great campground. There's no hookups, but its well maintained and has a swimming beach for the kiddies.
