We spent two nights at this park. We went to Cortez to see the Mesa Verde National Park and the Four Corners Monument and this is a great place to start. This park is only 9 miles from the Mesa Verde turn off and 40 miles from Four Corners. This park is small and clean and had their utilities updated this summer and fresh gravel brought in to level the spots. The pull-through sites are great, the sites wide, and the park nice. The wifi is free and the sites have FHUs. The park is a passport park which made the cost very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again. The restroom building is older and will need to be updated one day. The antennae brings in the local channels plus a few more. Camphost is friendly and helpful.

| Coastal state RV park - GREAT lighthouse | Having stayed in the park I would recommend it if you want to get away from the heat inland but be prepared for WIND and often fog and an average temperature of 60. The ocean is 52 degrees so the wind coming off the ocean is cold - come prepared for it. The sites are private with plants and trees blocking a lot of the wind in the campground. No internet or sewer hookups for campers. Didn't use the restrooms while we were there. Rangers do a great job of picking up the park. We would stay here again.

This is a small rv park with gravel sites. Do not come expecting a lot of amenities and for the price you get FHU. Cable is only at 5 sites (18-22) and internet works in the casino. Gave us 2 free margaritas for staying here. Can't beat the price. Some of the sites back up to a very busy highway through town. Understand we can use the hotel pool if we want. The park is on the side of the hotel and $15+ tax is a great deal for a stopover. We would stop again if we were in the area. Would have given higher if wifi/cable had worked in the camper.

Wish we had picked a park a little closer to Tioga Pass and since the park is 14 miles out of Bridgeport it was a longer drive to Yosemite! This is just a dusty and very tight park (can almost watch neighbor's TV). The map of the park is so tiny we had to walk over to the spot we were told to take just to make sure we knew where it was. We also drove through the area we hoped we could use to get out twice just to be sure. They have crammed 300 spots on any piece of dirt they can find. Don't go here expecting a resort. The internet is tangonet and costs - ex: $3.99 for 1 hour. There is amenities in the park (cafe and store) but we didn't visit them. We would look around for another location if we were in this area again. Fishing must be the draw since it's on a lake.

Clean long gravel sites, our site needed a board for leveling, didn't check out the RR or laundry, nice large meeting room with kitchen area and big screen TV, serve donuts and coffee in the a.m. Easy off I-5. Trees are still small so don't expect shade at this time. When office is closed they suggest you park on designated rows and check in later. Only stayed one night on a holiday weekend. No extra amenities - pool or playground.

| Large RV resort type park | This park is about 20-30 minutes outside of Boise. We visited family and friends in Boise and didn't mind the drive from the park. We didn't use the pool or hot tub or the restrooms/shower area. The park has large level gravel drive-thru RV sites. There is a "sister" park closer to town. We would stay in this park again if we were in the area.

If you are into dunes and ATVs, this is the park for you. It is a large park with lots of tent and RV sites. We are not into off-road dune riding and the holiday brought out the crowds. Seems like they allow too many in each site (3-5 tents + trailer in same site) so it made park very overcrowded for our preference. Only stayed one night since it was so crowded. Would not stay here especially if a weekend or holiday.

Some of the sites are a bit tight for slideouts but overall a nice little state park. The rangers and camp hosts were very nice. The location near Bend is nice with lots of trails for bikes and hikers. Didn't use the restrooms or showers. Would stay here again.

The park is still new and under going construction during the day. The fabulous infinity pool will be up and working in about a month. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Located right on the beach and the east end of Galveston Beach.

This park is keep immaculate by the awesome staff. A heated pool and spa are welcome after a day of hiking and site seeing. The park is located 1 1/2 hours from Glacier Park. There are many hiking trails in the area especially Swan Valley. The local Walmart and Safeway are within walking distance. Golfers flock to this park since it backs up to the beautiful Polson Bay course. Happy hour every afternoon affords you the opportunity to meet your neighbors and share some snacks. They were expanding the laundry room while we were there. They recycle at this park!

Re: Who Hires Workampers? | My husband and I are workampers and love it. We enjoy traveling around the USA and the benefit of parking our RV in an area we want to explore (currently Montana) and then fortunately working at a great RV park who understands the workampers. We work 3-4 days and then we're off 11-12 days. Those 3-4 work days are FULL days (wife in the office answering phone, taking reservations, checking in campers, etc) (husband mows, cleans pool, spa, and bathrooms, assists parking campers, etc.) We don't mind being busy the days we work since we know we will be off to travel or fish or hike, etc. etc. It cost us $$$ to travel here from the South but it has been a great experience and we will continue to work on our bucket list as we work and travel around the USA. We figure we'd need gas and food no matter where we are - so getting here is part of the fun. Good luck if you decide to try workamping.

This is only our 3rd workcamping experience, but I don't want to sign anything that commits me to a job and so far we haven't been asked to sign anything. However, our 1st experience in Eagle Nest, NM required me (wife) to work 4-6 hours 4 days a week in a cook wagon making breakfast and/or lunch. I read a general job description that mentioned working in the cook wagon but didn't realize that would be MY job 24 hours a week. I wish the job description would have said 2-3 of the women in the workamp group would be cooking 20-24 hours a week. We would NOT have gone.... Our current job is 3 1/2 days on and 11 1/2 days off - and a wonderful experience. I would think any place that requires an extensive job description and a signed agreement must have had some people "think" the job was not what they thought and left early. I'd be skeptical of the park.
