We had a wonderful stay at this KOA! We have been to several other KOA Kampgrounds, and this is by far the best. The tent sites are separated from the RV and trailer sites, so you are not bothered by all the noise they make if you are a tent camper. The pool is nice and refreshing, and the lake is absolutely stunning. The tent sites are spacious, and the staff is amazing. We were stopping through and only needed a tent site for one night. They were able to fit us in - on a holiday weekend. The staff were able to answer every question we had, and the bathrooms were clean and convenient. The location is great - the beach, downtown Charleston, and tons of family fun are all very close. We will absolutely be returning for a longer stay!

We stayed in this park for one night, and had a great time. The tent site was very private, with tons of shade. The beach was a short walk, and was absolutely gorgeous. Showers were hot and clean, and the staff was helpful - we arrived after the park closed and check in was a simple phone call. Overall, it's a great park, and we will definitely return!

This park was awful from the moment we pulled in. We got a site "on the water," which proved to be a paved area with a picnic table, and a small opening in the mangroves to view the bayou. The sites are TINY with zero privacy. The entire park looked like a truck stop for RVs. The park is right next to a slum, and the noise from that area was unpleasant. The quiet hours in the park were not at all observed or enforced, even after complaining to the security guard about it. Sleeping was impossible in a tent, and when the noise hadn't died down by 1:30am, we broke camp to continue our vacation elsewhere. The pool was nice and the bathrooms were clean, but these two attributes did not make up for the rest. The staff, however, did refund our stay when we called to check out the next morning and requested a refund. Don't stay here if you are tent camping - we will not go back.

We stopped in for one night without a reservation, 20 minutes before the office closed for the night. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and efficient. They got us set up in a tent site in a location we preferred, and provided clear directions for finding it and available facilities in the dark. The site was more than adequate, with plenty of choices for placing the tent, a nice sturdy picnic table, and a fire pit. It was quiet, even though many of the RV sites were occupied. It was fairly private for a KOA as well. The showers were hot and the bathrooms were clean. All in all, it was a wonderful, comfortable night, and we will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
