| Nice, small, friendly campground! | Located close to Moosehead Lake, this campground was a perfect place to camp for the night. They have tent and RV sites, a bathhouse with hot showers, a small camp store and very friendly owners. Our tent site was roomy and there was a lot of space between sites. Will definitely stay here again.

| Beautiful Texas State Park | Camping sites ranged in size and in tree coverage. The sites more in the open usually had a cover over the picnic table. The campground isn't right on the river but access is only a short drive and then hike down. There are lantern hooks, water, electricity, fire pits and tables at every site. The showers and restrooms were clean. The are some great hikes at this park and the river and the falls were fun. There is also an awesome bird blind where you can sit and watch all kinds of birds dart about. The camp host sold wood and ice. We had a great time and would camp here again happily.

| Beautiful, quiet and small campground. | This is a wonderful campground for tents and smaller RVs and trailers. The sites are pretty roomy with a fire ring/grill, picnic table, and a tent pad. There are a lot of big trees for shade. The campground has an amphitheater where there are nightly ranger programs in the summer months. Ice and firewood are sold between 5-7:30pm at a very reasonable cost. The restrooms were clean though they could use a few more hooks to hang belongings on. There are utility sinks at the restrooms where you can do your dishes. At night all you can hear is the wind through the trees and the sound of the creek which flows by the campground. Having camped in both Moraine Park and Glacier Basin campgrounds, I loved how small Aspenglen is and the fact that it wasn't dominated by huge RVs that blocked your view. Being a campground run by the National Park and not a concessionaire, there are no hook-ups but potable water is available. We loved camping there!
