This is a Thousand Trails membership campground which compliments the Orlando preserve. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are two sections to the campground. One has full hook-ups and the other has only water and electric. You park in the water/electric section until a full hook-up site becomes available, usually within a day or two. We chose to stay down by the river with only water and electric because it was a beautiful site. There are lots of activities including a long walking trail through the woods and along the Peace River.

| Thousand Trails winter haven. | This is a Thousand Trails campground where reservations are required way in advance during the winter snow-bird season. We stayed here twice in 2010 (March and May). This a large campground with sites that accommodate any size RV. The adult pool was just re-done, and there are lots of things to keep you busy like pickleball, horseshoes, an activities center and walking trails. The lake is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly if you have a question or problem.

| Friendly place to stay with great music. | We have stayed here several times over the past 3 years. There is a wooded section with quite a few permanent RV's where the sites would be tight for a large RV. There is an open section that overlooks the lake that can accommodate larger RV's, and that is where we stayed. The campground could use a little updating, but the owners are wonderful and helpful people. They have bluegrass festivals twice a year and smaller gatherings around the holidays. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

| Okay for an overnight stop. | We stayed here in June, 2010 for one night. There are quite a few permanent RV's, and the permanent RV neighbor next to us didn't speak to us which was an uncomfortable situation. They have a pool, but it had broken chairs and the water was cloudy. The check-in person was very friendly. It seemed that people stopped for the night, like us, and then left early the next morning. We would probably look for another place to stop.

| Beautiful place to stay for a while. | We stopped here in March, 2010 for 3 days. The campground is on a wonderful lake and the folks are nice to deal with. The sites are a little tight if you are in a large RV. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel with a heavy duty truck, and it was close getting in and out. We would stay here again.

| Great place to stop. Friendly owners. | We stopped here for 3 days in February, 2010 and again in June, 2010. The owners are helpful and friendly and have done an excellent job of updating the facilities. The sites are flat and big with new electric and water hook-ups. The path around the lake and campground is great for walking or running.
