| Neatest and cleanest yet. Early August, 2010. | We've camped in almost 50 campgrounds in 21 states & 1 Canadian province in the last 6 years and this is the best campground yet. From our log "...neatest & cleanest campground we've ever stayed in. Restrooms, laundry, shower & dish washing area were all in great repair and attractive. Even the grass was manicured." The owners were very friendly and accommodating, even loaning us enough coax cable to watch cable TV. They were out pulling weeds at 6 o'clock in the morning when we left. We were traveling and stayed only one night.
We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.

Re: Michigan State Parks are on sale | This is a great buy for residents of Michigan, and a great investment in State Parks even if you don't use them much. But it does nothing for non-residents. They will continue to pay the day use fee or the annual non-resident permit fee. Which, I believe, is $8.00/day or $29.00/annualy. That means $8.00/day for each day you stay in a campground, in addition to your camping fee. So if you're staying more than three days, you'll probably buy the annual pass. Just be aware that the pass is not transferable. If you visit in the summer in the family SUV and want to go back in the fall in your pickup, you'll have to buy another pass. If Michigan would issue the non-resident pass to the person instead of the vehicle, I'd have no complaint. And you Michigan residents, I encourage you to check YES for the Recreation Passport, even if you think you may not use it. It will be $10.00 well spent.
