| There are better choices nearby... | We stayed here over Thanksgiving because I waited too late to get in campgrounds in Asheville. The good news here is that the owners seem nice and everything works. The bad news is that it's just trashy. When we pulled in, our site had a large pile of leaves in it that nobody had bothered to clean out or blow off. Old farm equipment is stored all over the place. Maintenance hasn't been kept up with. If there were other campgrounds nearby with available sites, we would move. Won't be back.

| Beautiful, clean campground along a pristine Trout river | This TVA campground is a little off the beaten path, but the sites are right along the river. It was very clean and well kept. If you like trout fishing, kayaking...or just a beautiful campground...it's worth the trip!

| The park and falls are spectular...but campgrounds need some cleanup. | The campsites are a little trashy. We reserved the only.available site (17) and discovered that fires had been built outside of the fire rings, and the only place to put chairs was around the old ashes, unburned trash and cigarette butts.

| Couldn't get in touch with anybody to make a reservation! | I guess I'm rating their customer service only, since we never got to the point of staying there. I called repeatedly just trying to get past the busy signal. Sent emails but no reply. Finally got an answer from a lady who asked me to call back in 10 minutes when she was in the office? I called her back and gave our dates and size of TT, and she said she would have to call me back in a few minutes because somebody just walked in. Two hours later I called again, and she said they had just left....but not vacancies for the weekend we needed.
I guess I'm just used to staying at campgrounds where they actually want to make it easy to make reservations...

| Very nice, quiet and clean small campground | We travel to this part of NC every Fall, and we're glad to find this campground after some disappointing experiences in other local campgrounds. On the positive side, this campground is very clean and well-kept. The baths were spotless. My impression was that this was largely due to a great camp host...really nice folks. On the other side, the campground was for sale, and we heard through the campground that the owners could be difficult to deal with. However, our dealings with the host were fantastic! We're planning on going back and holding our breath that the quality stays high.

This is actually a fairly nice KOA, clean and well kept. The folks running the place are very friendly and helpful. It's hard for me to give a great review because I don't typically stay in KOAs and it's just a little to busy for my taste. The only real criticism is that, it literally back up to a fairly busy interstate highway, so lots of traffic noise and I have to turn my AC fan to always on to drown out the racket.

| Nice but lots of dense natural growth | Okay...first, this is a very nice, clean park with a spectacular beach and with seconds of St. Augustine. But I wish I had known that the sites, while very private, are surrounded with very dense natural growth which makes great habitat for reptiles and plenty of bugs. If you like the feeling of being in the jungle...you will love it. If you like sitting out in the evening without the constant whine of skeeters...this may not be your cup of tea.

| Great campground with excellent access to explore Charleston | Campground is a big surprise...shady, well-kept and lots to do here including trails, rentals, LP refills and a waterpark. Downtown Charleston is less than 15 minutes away! We stayed in a 28' travel trailer.

| Clean but no scenery or shade | We camped here while meeting our newborn grandson in Louisville because there aren't a lot of choices without staying in Louisville. Bath houses are clean and well maintained. Sites have gravel pads and are fair but it's a lot like camping in an open pasture...no shade, no views, no privacy. It's okay for what we needed, but I wouldn't plan a trip to stay here.

| Nice campground...worthless camp hosts | Nice clean campground, one bath house is new and clean, the other is due for an update. Camp hosts never leave the airconditioning. Which caused a problem.
