Local Directions: Take the D street exit off AK-1 (Glenn Highway). The signs on the freeway say nothing about "D" Street. The only sign you will see on the A1 freeway says "Fort Richardson/Artic Valley." Take that exit and turn to the north towards the base. Go through the security gate and you will be on "D Street" even though it is not marked too well. Stay on "D" Street as it winds around all the way through base. "D" Street eventually ends. At the end of the street it forms a "Y." Turn to the RIGHT. The campground is about 100 yards ahead of you on the left.
