Description
Seawall Campground Is located within Acadia National Park, on the western side of Mount Desert Island. The campground is approximately 18 miles away from Bar Harbor and the park loop road. Located 5 miles away is the town of Southwest Harbor; where you can find many necessary services such as a grocery store, pharmacy, laundromat, medical clinic, post office and restaurants.
Seawall is a family oriented campground. Sites are wooded and within a 10-minute walk of the ocean; no sites are located on the water.

The majority of sites are for tents, small and large, but other sites accommodate pop-ups, vehicle campers, and RVs up to 35 feet (10.7 m). A maximum of one vehicle and six people is allowed at each site. There are no hook-ups.

Campground facilities include comfort stations, cold running water, dump station, picnic tables, fire rings and water faucets. Seasonal showers and a camping supply store are located within 1 mile of the campground. Ranger led evening programs are offered.

If you're camping at Seawall Campground, be prepared to rough it a little. I say a little because although this is a no-hookup campground, it does have water spigots and good, clean restrooms. The sites are wide and surrounded by trees for privacy, although it can be a challenge to get level. We really enjoyed ourselves here.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
