This place is like a second home to me. We've been returning here for many years now, ever since my kids were still small. They're a little bigger now and the place still looks beautiful to them. The sites we had were pretty roomy for our needs, and the campground itself is a great base for hiking and biking around the Mt. Mitchell area. You can also spend the day listening to the song of the river while fishing for trout. They've added bathrooms with hot showers in the last few years, and the wonderful staff have kept them very clean. We don't see any reason not to come back year after year.

We stayed here in a Tent.
