Turn left onto LA Highway 121 at Gardner and go 1/2 mile to Forest Road 279 (Valentine Road). Turn left onto FS 279 and go 1 mile to Forest Road 282 and turn right. Follow FS 282 to the entrance of Valentine Lake Recreation Area.
