| scenic, quiet, humble. Lots of ponds. Loved this place! | |
I landed at Walnut Point pretty late at night and pretty late in the season (mid October). It's a fairly sizable park with a great setup for camping. Lots of RV sites with hookups, and also little walk-in tent areas which are really lovely. It is not state of the art by any means, but I really like the tent sites along the water, and docks going into the ponds and such. The fire rings could use updating, and the bathrooms are "campy" but have flush toilets and showers. I learned that they were subject to budget shortfalls this year and had only one employee maintaining it. That one person worked hard! There is more help this year, and I look forward to coming back. It was very quiet, but I don't know how it may be in the heart of the season. I'm definitely glad I sought out an employee on my way out to pay my $8.00 to pitch my tent.
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (0) |
