The Price of Quality
Does buying more expensive stuff mean that you're getting better quality camping equipment? I recently had a debate with my brother on this after he told me that he spent about $500 for a sleeping bag. He told me that it would eventually come out cheaper in the long run because he won't have to change it as often. Does he have a point, or am I just being too much of a Scrooge?

Re: The Price of Quality
Absolutely not! I've been able to found a lot of really great quality stuff without spending so much for them. It does take a bit of looking around and checking, but then again, isn't that what forums like these are for?

Re: The Price of Quality
Alban's right. Some of the best deals I've gotten were from yard sales that I happen to find every now and then.
