DON'T BUY A KEYSTONE MONTANA
We bought a brand new (ordered from factory) Keystone Montana - added a 5000BTU Onan generator.
Nothing but trouble, generator won't stay running, poor gas flow to unit, jacks - front and back won't go up and down, leak in bedroom, moulding falling off, keys don't work in door, underbelly falling off, spare tire falling off, refrig. door does not stay closed, stove igniter does not work, cracks in Coraian counter - told by Keystone customer service we probably made them and at that point had not used it once.
This is just a sampling of it.
They won't stand behind the warranty.
Treated very poorly by Keystone rep. on many calls to get help.
We've used it 9 times and most of them weekends.
DO NOT BUY FROM KEYSTONE. DO NOT BUY FROM KEYSTONE.
Wish we had bought from Heartland.

Wow! That sucks! Did they mention why they would not honor the warranty?

Thanks for the heads up, benwood. My brother-in-law is looking around for a Motorhome for himself. Would definitely tell him to include this in his "Beware and Stay Away" list.

Re: DON'T BUY A KEYSTONE MONTANA
I had a dealership explain this to me when I asked why I shouldn't just order the floorplan I wanted straight from the dealership (which the dealer didn't have in stock). They explained and actually showed me that every RV they get gets completely checked out and tested by them. I watched as they ran a ton of tests on one RV checking every system, every piece of trim, every appliance, every light/fuse/feature and they fix everything then bill the manufacturer. Also (at least the dealership I was at) offers their own service guarantees and can fix it for you if anything goes wrong. They said that they get defected stuff from all manufacturers constantly so basically I think by cutting out the middle man you end up costing yourself headaches in the end. I had the dealer order the floorplan I wanted and then purchased it from them when it arrived and they ran all there tests on it. 5 years and still no problems! My husband and I are thinking of upgrading and will probably use the same dealer because of how easy they made it on us.

Re: DON'T BUY A KEYSTONE MONTANA
In my case, the Motor-home that I bought was in a perfect condition, but the problem was of my rv transporter. He shipped the RV to my home in a reckless manner and there were lots of damage and dents to it till it arrived to my home. So, whenever buying your motor-home, along with taking care of the purchasing factory, one should also take care of choosing the right rv shipping company and collect as more info as possible about the level of service they offer.
