Musky Cabin Smell
We're having a reunion in a couple of weeks. Since some of our relatives are not into camping, we managed to compromise that everyone stays in a few cabins. While I have nothing against staying in cabins, the one thing me and my wife can't stand is the musky smell in the cabinets of the cabins. Any suggestions on how to make sure that our clothes get contaminated with the smell?

Re: Musky Cabin Smell
Contact whoever and have them open everything up to air out. Windows and cabinet doors. (not that they will do it)

Re: Musky Cabin Smell
Bring a dehumidifier and a sachet of potpourri. That should work.

Re: Musky Cabin Smell
I agree with the dehumidifier, although many times the musky smell can come from the wood itself. In those rare moments when we stay in a cabin, I'd line the cabinet shelves with a cloth to minimize the contact between the clothes and the wood. Potpourri or a strong air freshener will help.

Re: Musky Cabin Smell
Do you really have to stay in the cabin? Why not just stay in your RV? It's going to come out cheaper and you won't have to worry about that.
