It'll work as long as you have power hookups, (or generator running), if you're in a cg without electric, & minimal generator hours, (2 hrs in the am & 2 hours in the pm) it may not be a good idea.

That all depends on where will you usually go camping. Like what bukhrn said, if you usually stay in campgrounds where you'll be able to have access to electricity the entire duration of your stay, then using a residential refrigerator in your RV is fine. But if that is not the case, it'll be best to invest on a refrigerator built to be used on an RV.
