We stayed at Eagle's Roost RV Resort in Georgia. The woman in the office was so nice and helpful. Should we be back in Georgia, we would stay there again.

| Friendly staff, tight sites | My only negative comment is the width of the sites. The section we were in had the neighbor’s patio pad almost under our slider window. The highlights are the pool, the store and of course, the staff. We'll come back the next time we want to visit our money in Atlantic City.

| Shaded and level sites, friendly staff | This is a nice, small CG. The roads are dirt but easily accessible and the sites are large, shaded and very level. The pool/snack bar area rates a 10-nice and clean and good prices at the snack bar. Nice variety of activities and my kids loved the tetter-tooter and playground. Everyone was very friendly, staff and seasonals. Store was well stocked. Not many stores in the area so this is important to us. We will return.

| Large campground with store | We stayed here late June. It is a large campground with several permanent resident tenants and many tent sites. It is a nice facility by NJ standards. The store is very well stocked but very confusing and disarranged. The RV merchandise is old, but there's a lot of it. The bathrooms were clean but showed it's age. There were no paper towels or hand dryers. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the manager was very condescending and lacked people skills. The game room was large with a few outdated video games and a worn pool table. Although there were cable wires at each site the cable TV did not work. The advertised Wi-Fi is very slow and can only be used at the store or office. The back roads are narrow and hilly, with low branches

| Clean, picturesque, within walking distance to Dutch Wonderland | We camped here during midweek. We had a spot at the end of a road across from the grass and stream. It was very picturesque, with cows grazing in the countryside and ducks in the stream. Of course, walking into Dutch Wonderland was the focus of our trip and just wonderful to be able to go back and forth for naps and dinner, and to return for the water park. Playground and camp store were nice. I must have used the private for-one bathroom before anyone else; it was as clean as home, and I let the management know it! We left Friday, as the extra spaces filled, the noise level grew, bicycles multiplied. But, it seemed everyone was having a good time.

| Clean and Attentive Campground | This is a very clean campground. When we arrived our fire pit was full of leaves. We went to the front desk, and within minutes someone was there to clean it out. They are very attentive to campers needs. The camp store was very well stocked. They do charge you $2.00/day if you are going to use your fan or a/c at your site. They also charge for children and guests.

| Owners care for this park | The owners of the campground really care about their park and their family. They have children who are right there to help you with whatever you need. It is so nice in this day and age to see a family that cares about each other and works together to be the best they can be. This is a great park. You should check it out. We will return again.

We stayed here for a long weekend because of its location. Check-in was easy. (Only saw staff at check-in.) Local seasonal folks were very friendly. Most everyone else was 1-night travelers. Sites were gravel and not very level. Restrooms not very clean, and trash cans usually full. Road-noise was noticeable, but not unbearable. Caution: Watch the huge dip at the entrance! It must be required for street drainage or something. The main draw here is the Delaware River activities and canoeing and kayaking looked like great fun!

My 2007 F150 in-dash nav system has a DVD for its data. Ford has replacement, updated DVDs for around $150, and I suppose they'd have CDs for your unit, as well.

Just a few notes on some of the hidden costs of buying a used RV. In my case, a Class A. I got a screaming deal on my '99 Southwind. Bought in October 2007 for $30,000 (Private party sale) NADA listed it at around $38,000.
Since then I have done the following:
1. New Converter ($165) 2. Upgraded TVs ($475) 3. New Inverter ($275) 4. Dash A/C repair ($1,100) 5. New Sat dome ($699) 6. Repair "check engine" fault ($125) 7. New house batteries ($170) 8. New chassis battery ($65) 9. Replaced broken basement door latches 6 x $10 ($60) 10 Replaced cracked coolant overflow tank ($65)
Did most myself. If I had to have a tech do it all for me, I figure another $3,000-$3,500 in shop/labor costs.
Total = $3,199
Now these are all things (except the TVs) that were either dead, or on the way out when I bought the coach. No general maintenance items. I will also have to have a front stabilizer jack re-sealed, soon, but that will be covered by the ESP. ($100 deductible)
All in all, I feel that I still came out ahead, due to the great deal I got on the rig. It's taken 3 1/2 years to finally get everything where it works right, but now I have a coach where everything works as designed.
This was the first RV I ever bought, so I really didn't know what I needed to check, even though I did a lot of research before I started looking. I guess the only way to really know what to look for is to own one and go through the trial and error process.
I decided to put this up, just as a caution to any new RVers looking to buy their first used Class A. The price you may pay will usually not be the price you pay.

South of the Border - Worth a Visit? | Is South of the Border in SC worth the visit? I've passed by it too many times to count but never took the time to actually check the place out.

Re: What did you name your RV | That's pretty good. We call ours "Woobie" because that's the first thing our young daughter said when she saw it.
