| Great for younger campers |
I went with my two boys, ages 8 and 11. We had a fun three-day trip. The entire campground is enclosed with an unobtrusive fence. We registered online with recreation.gov and they didn't have it at the campground. Fortunately I printed our receipt. The female camp host couldn't have been more rude when she came to our site asking if we had a permit. Once I showed her spouse our receipt, she was better. The area has hiking trails nearby. It was well shaded with trees. It was close enough to US 285 to hear the large rigs as they drove by through the night. The toilets were clean and potable well water was available. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here in a Tent.
