Absolutely beautiful. We drove 4 hours on word-of-mouth and it was worth it. No disappointments here. Wolf Creek runs through the campground, adding the pleasant sound of rushing water to the breathtaking beauty of Blood Mountain. Make reservations, this is a well-loved campground.

| still a nice place to camp | After the tornadoes in 2011, I heard that many people have not returned. We had a great stay. There was plenty of room during labor day, not crowded. We had our pick of camp sites. There are wooded areas left in sections a and b. most of the trees are gone near the lake. Nice family camping and very friendly. Deer wonder through the campground in the mornings and evenings.

We stopped here randomly during a 2 day drive. We camp in a 26ft TT. We only stayed one night, but the kids didn't want to leave. We didnt see everything; what we did was nice. Only one complaint, the auto flush toilets; flush tooooooo much. Hard to take care of business when the toilet flushes every 20 seconds. Price was $38 for one night, for the 4 of us.

We stopped here for a 1 nighter to break up a long drive. It was fine. Looks like most the campers are residents, complete with porches and lawn mowers. Friendly people, good place to rest.
