This is a no-frills park. Only facilities here are a small clubhouse where the showers and laundry facilities were located, and a golf course. Still, we enjoyed our stay here. The staff here was fun and made up the lack of facilities with a whole bunch of activities for the guests. Wi-Fi service worked like a charm. Great if you're looking for a place to spend the night or for a few days.

The campground is very close to the Lakes Region and White Mountain, making this a great base camp to stay at if you're planning to explore the area. It's a family run campground and the hosts are just darlings. Our site was very level and spacious. No problems getting in and out. It's surrounded by trees so we got plenty of shade and privacy. The grounds are beautifully landscape. Lots of activities to keep the kids busy. Well-stocked store. The bathrooms and restrooms were immaculate. I highly recommend to stay here.

| Clean and well-maintained KOA | Clean and well-maintained. The sites are a bit close together, though, so you won't really enjoy complete privacy. Thankfully our neighbors were friendly and minded their own business most of the time. Staff were pretty friendly too. Full hookups available, including wi-fi and cable. The park is a bit out of the way so you won't be bothered with road noise. A bit pricey but we didn't mind.

| Perfect for some peace and quiet | If you just want a place to sit back, relax and forget about your day-to-day stress for a while, Riverbend RV Resort is it. It's very quiet here and the sites are far apart enough to enjoy some privacy. The sites are also large enough to allow you to use your slideouts and to move about even if you have a big RV. They've got full hookups available, just no cable TV. The park looks clean and seems well-managed by the staff, all of whom are friendly and helpful folk.

| Awful place. Dusty and broken down. | Dusty, rocky roads and a dumpy campground. 57 campsites and tenting areas. Laundry restrooms office museum, dump station and dumpsters at the entrance. Swings for the kids. Dogs roam freely without leash. 30 and 50 amp w/sewer connections are not convenient. Lots of barking dogs around the property.

This campground is clean and well kept. They have a hiking trail that leads to a waterfall and swimming hole. The sites are well spaced and spacious. There is a convenient store by the office that is well-stocked and fairly priced. Facilities are clean and well kept. Very quiet at night. But what sets this apart from all the other campgrounds that we have been is the level of customer service the staff working here gave us. When we arrived, the office assigned a staff member to escort us to our site. But he did more than that. When we got there, he guided my husband to make sure that he would not have a problem getting our Fifth Wheel into the site. He helped us get our RV hooked up. When we tried to open our slide, some of the branches of the trees got in the way. He was so gracious that he solved our problem by getting those branches out of the way. Now that's real customer service.

The atmosphere in Dead Horse Ranch is so quiet and peaceful that it's easy to forget that it's just outside the city. The SP has access to the Verde River and has lot of hiking and walking trails around. You can also go on a guided ride on horseback as they've got an equestrian concessionaire now. Our site had electric and water hookups as well as nice shade trees. Since it's a state park, no cable TV or wi-fi available. No sewer hookups either, but there's a dump station near the entrance of the park. The rangers are friendly and even though they are strict, they usually leave you alone.

| Clean and well-run RV park | I stayed here for two nights only and was satisfied with the park's services. The site I got had full hookups, cable TV and internet, and is big enough for my needs. The RV park is very close to the Yucca Valley main street, but the road noise at night didn't bother me at all. The grounds are clean from what I can tell, and I didn't have any problems with the staff. I wasn't able to check out any of their facilities except for the laundry, and the laundry worked well enough for me.

| Rustic park that needs makeover | The rustic atmosphere of this RV park can be quite charming. However, one can't deny the fact that it needs some updating on fixtures. The utility box on our site, for instance, was rusting and looked like it would fall apart soon. Still, the place seems well-run and kept very clean at all times. The full hookups on our site were working decently, and the wi-fi was fast enough for our needs. No cable TV, though, and our TV antenna could only get one English channel. Also, the sites are a bit too close together for our liking. Nonetheless, it's a charming park and we might come back if we return to Tucson.

| A relaxing place close to Palm Springs | Caliente Springs is a great place to get away in California. They've got hot, spring-fed pools that are so clean and lovely you can spend all day soaking in them. The sites are flat and level and are roomy enough for big RVs like ours. Full hookups available and there's cable TV and wi-fi available. My only complaint is that it can be tricky to maneuver our vehicle in the back-in. The campground is close to all the attractions as well as the shopping and dining options in Palm Springs. The friendly staff always had something planned to keep their guests busy and entertained. We liked it here and we're coming back.
