| No better than a WalMart parking lot | After an overnight stay, we figured we would've been better off driving to the nearest WalMart and parking there. This place is nothing more than a gravel parking lot with lots of permanent residents in rundown rigs. It was noisy even late at night and no one cared about enforcing speed limits. Motorbikes dashed by at full speed all the time. On the other hand, it does have full hookup sites with cable TV and a usable laundry room. Still, we're going to pass by this park next time.

| A quaint isolated park in the country | Though the campground doesn't have any amenities other than basic electric, water and sewer hookups, it more than makes up for what it lacks with its location. It's by the riverside so it's very convenient for fishing and watching birds. The park is clean and isolated, but the drive to and from the city is worth it because the views are so lovely. It's also very quiet here, perfect for a countryside getaway.

| Mostly for MHs, but RVs welcome | If you're looking for a base in the Chandler area, Hacienda Solano is a good one. It's a clean and comfy park run by a friendly couple. The sites are well-maintained and have full hookups. Wi-Fi and cable are included, but we never really got to use them. The park has mostly mobile homes in them, but there's room for transient RVers.

| A beautiful place for solitude | If you want to get away from it all for a few days, I suggest that you stay for a long weekend at Burro Creek. It's a wonderful place in the middle of nowhere, and you'll be treated to panoramic desert views. The sites are private and large. It doesn't have any hookups, but there are flush toilets, water sources and a dump station available on the campground. The campground host is a very friendly person who's there to keep the place clean and enforce quiet times. It's really worth staying here.

| Not a good value for your money | For $30 a night, I suppose we could have gotten a spot in a better RV park, but alas, this is what we ended up with. The park is mediocre and while clean is poorly maintained. Our site had electric, water and sewer hookups. The gravel on the site is too soft, though, so it was a challenge for us to level. They don't have cable TV and the over-the-air reception is bad. Wi-fi is only available at the office. My main peeve with this campground is there is only one men's restroom and its location is not convenient from our site. It's also kept locked so if you don't have the combination, you're in trouble. My wife hated that the place only had two washers and dryers that worked. We've stayed in better RV parks in the area and we'll probably stick to those places next time.

| Good base for touring national parks nearby | This RV park has an excellent location. It's a very suitable base for visiting the national parks nearby. It's also close to shops and restaurants. Full hookups available, including cable and wi-fi. The sites are gravel and level and roomy enough with grassy spaces in between. Not all sites are shaded, though and the rates were pricey. I may stay here again if I don't have other better choices.

| A great getaway place for the summer | This campground fills up really fast in the summer, and it's easy to see why. It's cool here and you can relax all day just fishing in the well-stocked lake. You can also canoe or kayak if you want. There are also good ATV roads nearby if you're into ATVs. The campground doesn't have any hookups, so be prepared to dry camp. Still, the camping experience is definitely worth it.

| Really Beautiful Campground | Very beautiful campground located within a more beautiful state park. Campground is just within walking distance from the lake so it's very accessible. Sites are large, but not really that level. Avoid sites 5-9 since they are the closest to the highway and the noise can be quite unbearable if you're a light sleeper. Restrooms were spotless. Will definitely come back.

I used to camp here years ago. Back then this was a really homey campground. After going back last summer, I'll never again visit this place. It's really tumbled down to a state of disrepair. Everything is run down and dirty. The grounds are overrun with weeds and all. Worst part is the fact that there is a campground owner here, but apparently she doesn't seem to care except to try and rip people off their money.

| A functional campground for visiting Acadia NP | Smuggler's Den is a very basic campground, but it worked well for us as a parking space for our RV while we went off to visit Acadia National Park. The site we got wasn't as big as we wanted to and wasn't a pull-thru, but we managed. It's very woodsy here, and many trees have low-lying branches. Full hookups available, with cable TV and wi-fi. The grounds are clean enough and while we didn't use the bathhouse, we saw that it badly needs updating. All we needed was a place to park our RV and we got that here.
