We had a great time here at Dead Horse Ranch SP. We fished at the well-stocked lagoons and did some hiking too. The views are quite pretty. As for the site we got, it's big enough for us and, as expected of a state park, has only water and electricity. The park does have a good dumping station near the gatehouse so the lack of a sewer wasn't really a problem. The park doesn't have a dog run, but the city park was close by so we didn't find it an issue either. Tuzigoot National Monument is nearby and well worth visiting.

| Nice park with good facilities | We found Royal Palm to be nice. The park gets its name from the lone royal palm standing on each site. Sites are paved and level but a bit on the small side. Full hookups available, but no cable. Forget about the wi-fi; it's Tengo Internet, therefore rubbish. It costs extra anyway. The facilities are great - pool, clean restrooms, laundry, game room and library. Staff are friendly. Will stay here again.

| A clean and quiet campground | Summerland is right next to the interstate, but it's surprisingly quiet inside the park, with very little road noise. It's also very clean, with full hookup sites, cable TV and wi-fi. The sites aren't long enough to accommodate long rigs, but at least leveling wasn't a problem. The owners are lovely people and they're very helpful.

| Campground with spectacular views | It's a campground within a National Park, so as expected there aren't any amenities or even hookups. Having said that, this campground is great. The views of the canyon are spectacular! The campground is also clean and the camp host is accommodating enough. Also, even though they don't have hookups, there are faucets and bathrooms but no showers. There's also a dump station nearby. You can use your generators only at limited times in the morning and at night. There are only five sites suitable for big rigs and they aren't level. First-come first served, so if you plan to stay here, you've got to come early. It's dry camping, but it's worth it.

| Spotless park with generous sites | It's not that easy to find RV parks with big sites these days so finding this one was a pleasant surprise for us. The site we got here was very roomy, had gravel that was easy enough to level, and well shaded with mature trees. They've got full hookups except for cable TV and the wi-fi was good. The grounds and bathrooms were spotless and the staff were quite friendly. It's quite close to the highway too but you'd never notice it much because it's so quiet.

This campground is very nice and attractive with a lot of scenic areas. The staff were friendly. Sites are well cared for and everyone was nice. The bathrooms are decent and clean. When the campground is full, it can have that crowded feeling so be prepared.

| A first-rate camping resort at county park prices | This county park is wonderful, so much that it can rival any private RV resort out there. The friendly staff keep every inch and corner of this place neat and clean. The sites are large with concrete pads and nice grassy areas, with full hookups available. There is lots of shade, but not too much that it scratches the RV or makes driving through the site difficult. The interior roads are wide, too. The coin-operated showers are awesome. For 50c, you can linger in the shower. The only thing that makes this park less than perfect is the slow wi-fi. They don't have cable TV but we got some OTA signals. Also, there's some noise from the train tracks on the other side of the river, but that's not a big deal.

If you're looking for a place to get away from everything, this is the place you should go to. It's a long drive from the main highway or any major thoroughfare. Most sites have full hookups, are large enough, and are separated by boulders, trees and other greenery for privacy. It's also very quiet. It's an adults-only campground, so you won't have to deal with kids running around and screaming. The facilities are all clean and well-maintained, and they have saltwater pools and a recreation hall. Cable TV and wi-fi are also available, but it's nearly impossible to get cellphone signals here. If you want some quiet and isolation, this is really it.

| Nice Campground with Shady Sites by the River | The campground is very clean and well-kept. The people working here and the owner were very nice and accommodating. The showers and restrooms are very clean. Sites are spacious and shady and level. Most of them are located by the river, which gives you spectacular views of the river. WiFi reception is excellent. Quiet at night. Definitely will come back.

| Okay just for overnight stays | We stayed at A-Bar-A because we needed a place to park and sleep for a couple of days while doing business in the area. It's a very basic place with adequate sites but no shade. The site we got had full hookups, but no cable TV or wi-fi available. The place is clean and efficiently run, though, and the staff are friendly enough. The park is right on the interstate and close to railroad tracks so it got a lot of noise from traffic and the passing train. It was quite difficult to get a quiet night's sleep here, which was kind of ironic since it's the only reason we parked here in the first place.
