| Clean, Spacious, Quiet, Many Walks,,Beautiful Grounds | |
We stay here frequently on our cross country trips. The sites are large and well maintained. The COE park is large and many walks are necessary to see the entire area. There are a few full hookups and an excellent dump station if you need it. Bathrooms are immaculate and convenient. Sites are LEVEL and paved! Friendly, courteous, informative volunteer staff. Only 4 stars as there is no camp store or swimming area. If you want to bring your boat, there are a couple of nice boat ramps available and then you can tie up near where you are camped. This is not far off US80 so it is quick and easy if you are driving through. Call to see if sites are available on the weekend. This is a popular park indeed. Don't forget "Senior Pass" issued by the Federal government will get you half price at most COE parks. Full price here is $20 and $22 (for full hookups).

| Lots of history in this area | |
Rate reflects America the Beautiful-Senior pass. Very nice COE park. I thought, according to the campground map, we would be on the water but we weren't. Not a major problem as it didn't appear that the river had very much boat activity anyway. If you can get a group of 5 people together and let the park host know by Friday, you can get a tour of the locks right down the river. Lots of geocaches and some really neat history in the area. We would stay here again.
