We came across the dam to get to this park but exited by going down Hwy 12 back to the interstate. It was scary driving our 5th wheel on this narrow dam because it was so high above the water and the river. We had a pull thru site which was sloped back to front. There was only electric in our site, which we would have been ok without because it was cool and a/c was not needed. We went to the Ludlow Massacre Memorial which was north of the park off the interstate and also downtown to look at the old houses and buildings. Hard times have beset this little town. There was a mine and a gas well but they shut down so a lot of businesses have closed up. We enjoyed the park, was not thrilled with the idea of having to chunk quarters into the showers to get them to work. Fishing and boating are available plus hiking trails. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We stayed here in a 5th Wheel. | | Comments (0) |
