| Not a "resort" by any stretch of the imagination!! | |
The few positives: the residents are nice, the lake is serene, it's quiet at night, and it's close to Seaside and the beach. When we arrived, we rejected two campsites because of garbage and dog feces. The RV's were no newer than 30 years, and in various states of disrepair. Moss-encrusted cars and pickups abounded, and there were dog feces in the walkway to the shower-house. There was never any toilet paper in the restrooms despite telling them twice. If you need any groceries, they carry a few canned goods and packaged Jell-O. They charged me a higher rate than what was shown on the website, giving me this song and dance about an old manager who had left them with 5 websites and no passwords. When I arrived, I was asked what rate I had been quoted on the phone. Some neighboring campers arrived the second evening, and talked about the wonderful rate that they had gotten, which was $5 less than what I had paid. I could not find any staff in the office to get satisfaction on this issue, nobody is available after-hours. There are no garbage cans for the campsites, nor any place to dispose of your waste-water, yet signs abound as to what you may NOT do with your waste-water. Cats are allowed to run loose, and we got cat urine sprayed on our tent; we had to wash EVERYTHING when we got home. This campground has been cited for violations by the county health department in the past.
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (0) |
