Local Directions: Travelers on I-40 E bound and W bound: Take I-75 North in Knoxville, TN. Take the Oneida-Huntsville Exit (141) onto Hwy 63. Follow Hwy 63 west for 21 miles through Huntsville to U.S. 27. Turn right on U.S. 27 and drive north 20 miles crossing into the state of KY. At the intersection with the crosswalk (approximately one-quarter of a mile north from the intersection of Hwy 92 and U.S. 27) turn left onto Hwy 2792. Travel about a quarter mile and stay right at the intersection to continue Hwy 1651. Travel on Hwy 1651 another 2.5 miles and turn left onto Hwy 742. Continue 742 about 5.25 miles to the entrance of the Blue Heron Campground on the right. To reach the Blue Heron Interpretive Ctr at Mine 18, continue Hwy 742 for another 3 miles.
