| Beautiful, quiet National Forest campground | |
The choice spots are along the Oconto River with its rushing rapids, but there's hardly a bad site to be had at this Nicolet National Forest campground. It's also first-come, first-serve, so there's a chance of snagging a great spot if you come before or after the busy times. There's a trail along the Oconto, which while it doesn't extend a great distance, allows beautiful views of the river and rapids. It's one of my favorite spots to camp.
